Benton County feels that Glennis is one in a million! She is a tremendous wealth of information for 4-H leaders, 4-H’ers, and county extension staff. Many people look to her as a guide and mentor when it comes to understanding the ins and outs of 4-H.
Glennis has been a Benton County 4-H leader for the Homer Helpers for 28 years. Neither Glennis nor her husband Robert, a former 4-H leader himself for 15 years, were involved in 4-H as children. All of Glennis and Robert’s children were involved in 4-H and now their grandchildren are involved in 4-H.
Glennis has seen many changes not only in 4-H, county, and state fair, but also in rural Iowa living. Benton County feels truly blessed to have such a great asset as Glennis Nissen as 4-H leaders doing her best “to make the best better”.
