2014 Crawford County - Dick and Rona Bromert

Dick Bromert grew up in Carroll County and was an active 4-Her and showed cattle. Rona Bromert grew up south of Vail and was very active in 4-H. They became 4-H leaders of the 4-Leaf Clovers   4-H Club the year after their son, Justin, joined 4-H.

They encouraged all their club members to take part in all aspects of 4-H. They would have the whole club participate in Share-the-Fun and two times they went to State Fair.

They stressed the importance to kids of doing their own chores and projects.  With so many activities and sports available, it was challenging to keep 4-H fun and interesting.  After their boys were out of 4-H, they continued to be leaders and helped many young members with projects. They kept many livestock projects at their place and youth could come there to learn and work with them. They even helped by loaning money for 4-H projects. Dick is at the fair helping and encouraging all of “his” kids with their exhibits.

They are very organized as leaders. All paper work is correct and is turned in on time.  They are so willing to help everyone.

Dick and Rona have two sons, Justin (Ann) and Lance, who were very active in 4-H.  Grandchildren; Kallie, Karson, Mataya, and Jace are beginning Clover Kids.
