Stewardship Specialist

Title:  Stewardship Specialist
Appointment Conditions:  Continuous, 12 months, Part-Time (15-20 hrs/wk)
Proposed Start Date:  As soon as possible.

Job Summary: Self-motivated individual with a proven track record in fundraising support, administration, communications, or related. This position reports to the Executive Director. Primary areas of responsibility include donor stewardship and administrative support. Part-Time: 15-20 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement donor stewardship plan
  • Coordinate and execute mail campaigns
  • Process, coordinate and execute incoming gifts and donor acknowledgements
  • Provide administrative development support for Executive Director and gift officer
  • Serve as office point of contact
  • Compose and prepare professional correspondence, including board meeting minutes 
  • Coordinate meeting logistics
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of professional experience OR associate degree and 5-7 years of professional experience in administration, non-profit work or other related field.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to connect with donors, stakeholders and staff
  • Experience organizing and managing meetings
  • Committed work ethic and ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Ability to multi-task, manage, and organize multiple initiatives
  • Ability to use a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Raisers Edge preferred
  • Creativity, patience, and a sense of humor 
  • Familiarly with and affinity for the 4-H Program or similar youth development organizations
  • Understanding of and commitment to, donor-centered philanthropy principles to develop and sustain relationships with donors

Compensation: Pay range: $14-$17 per hour, commensurate with experience. 

Special Conditions
Position requires some evening and weekend responsibilities.
