Brad and Erin Berns have been lifelong supporters of the Allamakee County 4-H Program. Their 4-H involvement started when they were both young members of the program. Erin was involved in the Lafayette Lassies, where she participated in various project areas. Brad was involved as a youth where he exhibited swine maybe once or twice.

They have supported and encouraged their children through the 4-H program with their involvement in the beef, sheep, and goat projects. The Berns Family is always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs assistance and do it with a smile on their face.

Not only have they supported and encouraged their own children through the 4-H program, but they have also supported the Elon PMC 4-H club members for numerous years by serving as 4-H club leaders.

Brad serves as the goat superintendent and has been working to help youth members find a low maintenance and relatively easy livestock project by exhibiting a dairy goat wether. Adding this class and offering encouragement along the way has resulted in a full barn the last couple of years at the Allamakee County Fair.

The Berns Family continues to share their 4-H enthusiasm and touches many lives by supporting the Allamakee County 4-H Program.
