| Iowa 4-H Youth Programs
For more than a century, the 4-H youth movement has developed
young people into responsible and productive individuals.
Here in Iowa, 4-H reaches one in four school-age children
through traditional community clubs, special interest clubs,
4-H camp, school enrichment programs, and special youth events.
These program activities provide young people with opportunities
to expand their knowledge base and learn the skills that they
can use for a lifetime.
“4-H has expanded my opportunities and strengthened
my leadership and citizenship skills, building lifelong
abilities and lifelong friends.”
– Katherine, Story County 4-H’er
The Iowa 4-H Foundation works in partnership with 4-H program
staff to provide the best educational materials and hands-on
learning experiences for youth participants. This includes
the support and training of thousands of adult volunteers
who work directly with the 4-H members. By financially supporting
the Iowa 4-H Foundation, donors provide for a safe learning
environment where young people can grow to their fullest potential.
“4-H is a special organization because it has
no limits on what you can do and learn.”
– Bill, Keokuk County 4-H’er.
