Agriculture and Land Stewardship Grants
Dairy Education Grants
(for ISUE staff only)
Application Deadlines: March 1 and October 1

Grant awards between $500 and $5000 are available for county, multi-county, area, or statewide programs. These funds are intended to provide resources to initiate new, revised, or enriched programs that can be integrated into the ongoing 4 H Youth Program.

The Agriculture and Land Stewardship Grants are made possible from a legislative appropriation to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. The Iowa 4-H Dairy Endowment provides funds for dairy education.

New Guideline/Application Updates (Effective 2/1/06)


Pioneer Community Improvement Grants
Application Deadline: December 1

Pioneer Hi-Bred International encourages Iowa 4-H clubs to plan and carry out community improvement activities by providing “seed money” needed to make the projects successful. Grants from $25 to $250 available. Applications are to be completed by the 4-H members.


Iowa's Promise Grants
Application Deadline: February 1

Grants up to $250 are available for community service or improvement projects involving two or more local groups (one must be a youth group such as a 4-H club, Scouts, church or school group).


4-H Fish Iowa Mini-Grant
Grant provided through Sport Fish Restoration Funds for establishment or support of 4-H fishing/outdoor clubs (up to $350 available per club).


Resource Enhancement And Protection (REAP) Conservation Education Grants Program
Grants of $2,500+ can be used to fund innovative environmental education programs in Iowa.
